- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 6 slices turkey bacon
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup cold water
- In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crisp, then crumble and set aside.
- In the same skillet, brown the beef roast on all sides.
- Place the beef in the slow cooker. Add the chopped onion, garlic, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, and salt.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, until the beef is tender.
